In 1934 Yuri Gagarin was born.

35 years later,in 1969, Apollo-11 lands on the Moon.

In year 2004,35 years after Apollo-11 it looks like we still will not have a new manned lunar landing programme underway.

Plenty of ideas, plenty of paper studies, plenty of talk but no hardware underway for such a programme.

The next Moon may not be a 'blue moon' but a 'red moon' ? But that may be 35 years away !

let's hope not.

Just a thought.

Not to forget that next month is 35 yrs since Apollo 8 - IMHO the "getting" to the moon for the first time was as significant as landing there.
Roll on the Ap8 reunion (if only!)
