OK yes, you did start this topic a while ago, but I want to find about this story you've posted.[This message has been edited by jawsman100 (edited April 07, 2003).] |

This post was in reaction to a "Today in Space History" entry on the homepage:October 10, 1984: Shuttle Challenger suffers malfunctions after being 'shot' by the Soviet Terra-3 laser. More information on this can be read here: http://www.astronautix.com/craft/terra3.htm |

I recently had an in depth conversation with an astronaut, who was also an Air Force Colonel. He was an astronaut a few years after this. I was very surprised he'd never heard of it, and I must say I'm surprised I'd never heard of it ( I consider myself pretty well informed) until the posting last year. Was it reported in the news media? Is it agreed by all that this is a factual story? [This message has been edited by STEVE SMITH (edited May 02, 2003).] |
