I had a e.mail today from unknown address and it seems to show a man standing on a balcony type thing having his photo taken and behind him there is a plane coming towards the tower I guess it`s one of the twin towers and seems to be just before contact, looks real to me but would have thought it would be a fake... has anyone been sent this..sorry to go of the subject slightly.. |

Its a fake. I just saw a news report confirming as much. One must only ask "how did the camera surivive?" to debunk the image. More importantly, why wasn't the photographer running for his life? By that time you would have seen the plane on its way -- or at least heard it. Finally, and most importantly, the shot seems to show the view from the tower without an observation deck... |

My opinion is that it is a sick joke.1) The guy is not dressed for a Summer day in New York. 2) The public observation deck was on tower 2 not tower 1 where the American Airlines plane hit. 3) The public observation deck opens no earlier than 0900 during the peak season. I love New York and have traveled there several times. I do not know anybody personally who was at the WTC but I was there at Easter time this year. It makes me sick to imagine the faces of the tour people on the observation deck, the Broadway show tickets counter or the people I saw in the shops below ground who may have perished. I personally think the picture is fake and wish the creator had invested time in giving blood or collecting money for the victims rather than propogate this sick joke. Those are my thoughts. ------------------ Douglas Henry Warm Regards from Southern California Home of the Atlas Booster, F1 & J1 engines, Saturn V 2nd & 3rd stage, the Apollo CSM, Skylab, Space Shuttle, ISS etc. |

thanks for reply..it was a bit of a stomach churn to look at and to think what was going to happen, I thought maybe it could have been heading for the tower next to the photographer`s hence the person saving the camera/ picture...but as said someone is sick enough to circulate these photographs..was also sent a after picture of a suicide bomber which was not fake and very real, cannot understand where these people got my address from and why send them to me!! |
