This amazingly wonderful cutaway Saturn V illustration by Stephen Biesty (the 14- by 40-inch centerfold from his 1997 book Incredible Everything) was being passed around on Twitter this morning.

I spotted a typo, but I think I'll let it pass! Glorious cutaway...wish I had a printer that could handle it.

On Amazon, copies of the book are going for $7, well worth it in my opinion for that centerfold alone, that if carefully extracted would make for an awesome door poster.

The origin of this unique (only) drawing, because in color, and on my site and not on Twitter (scan at my expenses in March, 2007).

The only one, in black and white, to my knowledge is on the site Ninfinger (point of departure of my searches to acquire the book).

It was also a poster that found it's way into my collection from a "Michael's" hobby and craft store about seven or eight years ago. It has a place of honor here at Aerospace Legacy Foundation in Downey!

Or on Amazon UK for a crazy £0.06 (10 cents)!

Is anyone in touch with these folks? We need to get this out again and make it available. I have wanted to put it up at Columbia Center for a couple years.

Robert, are you in touch with Steve Biesty?

I have not been in contact with Biesty. I would suggest perhaps contacting Dorling Kindersley (DK) Publishers, as they likely control the rights to reprints.

I sent an e-mail to DK this morning asking if this poster might be made available. I'll post their answer if I get a reply from them.
