Jim McDivitt has stated that for quite some time it was undecided as to whether the Pilot or the Command Pilot would perform the EVA on GT-4. Backup pilot Jim Lovell must have trained, also, and possibly even Frank Borman.

There are of course, many photos of Ed White training for his Gemini 4 EVA on a frictionless table, in the vacuum chamber, etc. Has anyone ever seen any photos of McDivitt, Lovell or Borman training for the EVA?

And of course I've never seen any photos of Charlie Basett undergoing EVA training for GT-9, although there must be some around.

I have never seen any of the photos you are looking for. But of course they must exist in the JSC files...

Along the same lines here's a shot of Gemini X backup pilot C.C. Williams in zero-G EVA training. Al Bean is in the Command Pilot's seat.

All times are CT (US)
