Kipp Teague has added a vast amount of new scans to the Apollo Archive galleries. See: http://www.apolloarchive.com/apollo_gallery.html Almost all complete Hasselblad magazines containing lunar surface photography are now available for Apollo-11 through Apollo-16 and Kipp is working on Apollo-17. This is the very best source for high-quality lunar photographs taken by the Apollo astronauts. Thank you, Kipp! Ed |

I did my weekly check of Kipps site last night and saw the massive update he had done. The guy has done sooo much work on the site since I first started going there (it was just the Contact Light site then). Kudos to Kipp ! Adam P.S. I have already been stitching some of Kipps new scans, and have made a new intro pic for my site ! |

Wow, thanks for the heads-up! I've made AS16-113-18287 my computer's wallpaper. I'd never seen a photo like that before--shot by John or Charlie of earthrise over the lunar surface with the CSM coming over the horizon at a distance as well. Unreal.... |

Hi all, Ed was kind enough to give me a heads up the other day so I thought I'd pass it on here. Kipp has now added Apollo 17 Magazines 162 and 163 to the site. Believe me when I tell you that you have never seen Apollo photo's like these. These show 3 guys playing for the camera while on holiday ! I cant thank Kipp enough, these are shown as they are meant to be shown ! Adam |

Great shots. Particularly interesting for anyone who has been buying A17 flown pages and charts from Novaspace and Spaceflori; there are some great shots of Cernan and Schmitt consulting manuals and the flight plan. Make a nice photo to go with your items.Cheers, Matt ------------------ www.spaceracemuseum.com |

As coincidence would have it, I've been downloading some of the newest Apollo views over the past few days. My particular interest is pictures of the astronauts during EVA's. What strikes me is that there are quite a few that are 'almost perfect'. When they are nicely in focus, a head is missing. Or, when the composition of the shot is wonderfull, the pic is blurred... It will be some time before we get another chance to make similar shots. And perhaps an idea for a nice little project: many of the Apollo 16 photo's are smudged somehow (what happened there??) Anyone around who is up to photoshopping that out of them? Luc |
