Interesting article in the JSC roundup. The recovered hardware certainly seems to be parts of two panels welded together that made up the wall of the liquid hydrogen tank of an S-IVB stage. Thermal tiles were inserted into the metal matrix. See the attached photo that shows the parts in manufacturing at the Douglas plant in Santa Monica.Alan.
