SEDR 109 Flight Operation Manual has been posted to the Meadville Space Center

This manual describes the operation of John Glenn's Mercury Capsule Friendship 7 and includes checklists, circuit diagrams, and emergency procedures . This manual hasn't been posted on the internet until now. Before this only SEDR 109-7 for Shephard's Freedom 7 was available for download.

Includes a few extras from my December trip from the John Glenn Archives at Ohio State University.

You can see what I did and didn't get right with Project Mercury 5.0

Robert,

Thank you for posting this and making it available to all. A couple years ago I scoured and google searched everywhere for the SEDR-109 for any MA mission. These documents were certainly the most important manual for the Mercury 7. I could almost see them carrying one around for months on end, reading it at the dinner table, etc.

Combine the "Astronaut's check list" section of the SEDR-109 with the flight plans that are available and you have a complete set of flight documentation. (For MA-6,7,8)As for 7 & 8 check sections in the "Result's of SP's" for modifications to controls and procedures.
I recall MA-8 had a few minor changes.

Keep up the good work !

Thanks again,

Kyra

Yeah, but try finding the manual for a 1958 Borgward Isabella!
