I found an alternate crew portrait of the Apollo 11 astronauts in the New York Daily News of 13 August 1969, the day the crew visited the city. The photo is similar to another version that was printed in the LIFE special edition on Apollo 11. In the LIFE photo Armstrong and Aldrin are standing with Collins, behind the moon, as below:

These are probably photos by Ralph Morse. Does anyone have better versions of the two?

That's the photo I was looking for! I was at that parade back on August 13, 1969, and remember the Daily News cover very well.

This moon prop also appears in a photograph in the 1970 book "First Men On the Moon."

It might not even be a globe but a flat 'cardboard' full Moon.

The front of the "globe" is three-dimensional, but the back probably not; otherwise Collins couldn't stand behind it like that.

By the way: there is a similar family photo with the Apollo 10 astronauts and their families.

It does not appear to be identical to the Apollo 11 photo, but this globe used by Cronkite for CBS coverage (now at the New Mexico Museum of Space History) looks quite similar.
