Hello guys, new member of collectSPACE here, looking for some advice.

I want to expand my collection of signed photographs. I am most interested on Apollo era astronauts and spacecraft signed photos, do you know or can you recommend me some websites to look for legit material? Since I am not very experienced I would like to hear from you.

I have looked at some posts here and I've learned about autopens and now I am aware before I buy an item, I also know I can ask Zarelli for a quick opinion, but if you can recommend me some websites I can look for that'd be great.

Thanks a lot for your support in advance.

Without a doubt, the most reliable website for Apollo autographs is Astronaut Archives, which is owned and run by Gerry Montague. Gerry is not only a really great person, but also one of the most respected authenticators of astronaut autographs in the world.

Another great resource is Novaspace. This company works directly with astronauts to obtain autographs, and for over a decade, they also hosted the Spacefest conventions. So they're absolutely reliable.

Other good sources include Apollo Astronauts, Apollospace, Moonpans, and The Space Collective.

I also highly recommend keeping up with every new auction from RR Auction. Steve Zarelli pre-certifies every single astronaut autograph they sell. Heritage Auction also holds a few space-related auctions per year, with lots of pre-certified autographs. So you can feel safe bidding on any autograph they sell.

And with some caution, eBay can be a good source. You just need to be careful to avoid scammers and forgers. And as you mentioned, autopens are a problem. So whenever you see an autograph that looks good, I recommend checking the known autopen patterns at AstroAutopens to make sure it doesn't match them.
