Snoopy banner: New or vintage? Never seen this one before. Definitely used with pinholes. |

It looks vintage, but the lack of copyright on the bottom makes me think it's a new piece. There were some copyright issues when NASA was using Snoopy in the 60's and 70's. Everything I've seen from that time period had a copyright mark by Schulz, including the Silver Snoopy pins. |

I too thought at first that the board was either homemade or a knockoff given the depiction of Snoopy (it looks a bit off), but there are a number of similar boards listed on eBay and other sites with Snoopy in several different roles (including his World War I Flying Ace persona) and some of them still include a tag showing they were made by a British company called "Simon Simple" and were licensed from United Feature Syndicate, representing Charles Schulz. All have the same "Snoopy Bulletin Board" heading as the one pictured above. Some of the boards date back to 1966, but the listings I found for the astronaut version seem to be dated to 1969.

Thanks for the great photos. At the same tag location on the photos, there is a white thread where the tag was carefully removed. |
