Any thoughts on eBay item 265057268633 which just sold for $510?Listed as a "flown Apollo harness strap," based on the label from one of the Charles Bell auctions. My first impression is that it's probably not flown, probably not Apollo, and probably not a harness strap, but maybe I'm wrong?

I dunno, other than not being Apollo, and no proof of flight, and not being a harness strap, I'm good. |

The 1987 date should be a clue perhaps as to which Apollo mission it flew on. Oh wait there weren't any. |

Why the doubt and sarcasm? Puckett Auctions stated the strap was flown on Apollo; isn't that sufficiently compelling provenance?

The date could elude to disposal or release. That said, I suspect there is more chance of my left foot having flown on an Apollo mission than this particular item. |

100% legitimate Aeroquip freight tie down strap (perhaps) flown during the Apollo era on a civilian or military freight aircraft. Like this item. |

But at least it's a strap though, so they got that bit right. |

As the resident strap enthusiast (don't ask questions), this is indeed a strap. |
