I've used PictureTrail to post pictures to collectSPACE. I know others have, too. They are closing on Feb. 28, 2021. What other tools are available to post pictures? Are all the shared images going to be lost? |

Rats! That is bad news. I haven't used it to post pictures here since I put everything up in Google Photos, but that is what I used for about ten years. I saw many other cS members use it too. Now all of those photos will indeed almost certainly disappear. |

Oh no! I've got about 300 cS images on PictureTrail. Anyone know of an easy way to port those over to another service without having to go back and fix the html in every one of my previous posts? (Yeah, I know, I'm a Pollyanna...lol) |

For reasons such as this, I have been slowly migrating images from other sites over to our server — but the emphasis is on "slowly," generally only as an older thread becomes active again. There is no way I could migrate all of the PictureTrail images before the end of February, but members who used the service could help by making sure to archive all of the images they have hosted on PictureTrail currently and contacting me (by email) to let me know. As for a reliable replacement hosting service, I would recommend imgur or Flickr. |

Just to be clear, in order for the shared Picturetrail images to remain on collectSPACE, we have to migrate them to another photo host and fix the HTML links in our previous posts? |

That's what I'm starting to do. Big job, but I have yet to find an easier way... |

There might be another way. I'm working on it and will share details soon. But if members want to start migrating links, please go ahead. |

Robert, I tried to edit an old post with an image uploaded to imgur and can't seem to get it to work. The test post is Space Cover 400: Apollo Fire at 50. Once I figure out how to do the first one then the others should be the same. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

I edited your post. Take a look at the edit. Copy the code and then change the image address (URL) for additional images (note that the URL appears twice). Let me know if you run into any issues and I'll be happy to help more. |
