I came across this Thiokol Lucite dated January 16, 1964. Any information on what is inside or what this was given for would be greatly appreciated.

Based on web searches, this appears to be a cross section (likely inert) sample of Thiokol's TE-260G solid-fuel motor as used for Goodyear's UUM-44 Subroc, a submarine-launched long-range nuclear armed anti-submarine missile developed for the U.S. Navy. |

Presentation diameter looks to be too small to be an actual 260G fuel grain. |

I was unable to find the diameter of the motor, so perhaps it is more like a salesman sample, a miniature in the same configuration as the full-size fuel grain. |

Thank you both, I had been under the impression that this was space related and not military. If this fits into someone's collection let me know as I will most likely move it along to someone who will appreciate it.
