Does anyone know what this jumpsuit was used for? It was made by Red Kap. Size 46-LN. The nametag is faded so I don't know who wore it. Any help is appreciated.

So is this a fake NASA jumpsuit? In my research, I have not seen any white jumpsuits, except for Halloween costumes LOL. Are there any jumpsuit experts I can email or contact directly to get more info on this?

Is there a label inside that identifies what material the suit is made of? That may offer a clue as to its use.
There were white flight suits worn by the astronauts during the early space program and the closeout crews that seated and sealed astronauts inside the space shuttle for launch wore white coveralls. But neither of these were short sleeve...

Thanks for the reply and info.
100% cotton. Yeah, short sleeve was another thing I noticed.

It looks like a homegrown suit to me.

I agree; my guess is that this was someone's Halloween costume, maybe created around the time of the movie's release (so early 1980s).
