The General Services Administration (GSA) is now auctioning the 76-wheel Orbiter Transporter System (OTS) that was used to move the space shuttle orbiters between the Orbiter Processing Facility (OPF) to the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The OTS was last used to deliver Atlantis to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. It was originally built in support of shuttle operations out of Space Launch Complex 6 (SLC-6) at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. It was shipped to Kennedy in 1989. The bidding is now at $2200 with four days remaining.
