Would anyone remember what this photo was produced for? It has a seal (similar to a notary seal) that has Goldtown,Inc., Florida 1999. It is numbered 52/1000. Unpacking some stuff after moving. Thanks for your help! |

I have a similar one with "Moon to Earth - Mission Space" printed in gold lettering followed by printed names of all the astronauts. |

Be careful, as I did appraise one of these for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex years ago. If I am thinking about the same item, it contained about a dozen printed autographs of pioneer signed astronauts depicted on a large Apollo 8 "earthrise" glossy. I can't recall if it was numbered or not, but I think it was. |

If I recall correctly, this pre-print was produced for commercial sale, rather than in connection with an event or charity. The person/people behind it (or perhaps a distributor trying to retail it) contacted collectSPACE to offer it through this site but were turned away because they did not want to explicitly state that the autographs were pre-printed (rather their marketing approach was to claim "authentic autographs" in reference to the original that was used to create the prints). Sadly, that has resulted in listings such as this one, where the claim is repeated "guaranteed authentic signatures." |

If I recall correctly I paid a premium price of $19.95 in 2002 or 2003. Put it in a Walmart $3.57 frame and display it proudly. The seller I purchased from stated it was pre-printed. However there was a seller offering them on eBay on a regular basis around 2005-06 for $150 with a small brass plaque on matting. The seller always sold them as a private auction to block contact with potential buyers. |

Thanks for the information. It does make a good display. It did not cost me much. |
