I wish to sell a piece of flown JAXA H-IIB Launch Vehicle Fairing from Flight-03 flown on the 21st July 2012 in its display case (serial no. 0070). The fairing piece is quite large at 20cm long, 14cm wide and 3.8cm thick and is sealed in a plexiglass display case with dimensions 21.2cm tall, 15.2cm wide and 5.7cm thick. The certificate of authenticity is printed on an aluminium plaque, affixed to the bottom right corner of the display case.

The display case has a couple of issues, i.e. a couple of cracks/delaminations at the top seal as well as a crack/delamination at the bottom seal, which I have circled in pictures I have taken which I can send to anyone interested. The case is rigid, as these cracks running along the seam only appear to be cosmetic.

This is a really cool piece, given that the front of the case has a hole from which you can touch the outer (painted) surface of the fairing and the back has signs of salt corrosion from the fairing having been inundated in sea water. Moreover, when one looks at the fairing from the top or bottom of the display case, one can see the curvature of the fairing, which is really cool.

From what I have read on this forum, JAXA used to salvage fairings from its rockets to ensure that shipping lanes remained free of floating debris (owing to the honeycomb structure of the fairing), but nowadays fairings are designed to sink, thereby not requiring salvage.

I am asking $400 shipped worldwide, or nearest offer. I only accept Paypal goods and services. I am located in Cyprus, Europe. Feel free to message me with any questions/offers.

All times are CT (US)
