This could explain the puzzling entry in John Young's "Forever Young" book's prologue... p2: "One thing we wanted was a good close-up visual inspection of the lunar module by T.K. [Mattingly], so he could see whether the LM's entire three-legged landing gear had extended properly..." 😁

So what scale is this? I am assuming 1/96 or 1/100 maybe. If I had it I would get a Revell 1/96 scale and use those parts to make it whole as chances of getting an exact replacement is very slim. I would take the aft leg and put it on the right side then install the kit part in the aft location. Once displayed the anomaly will be hard to see.

If this is the Lester Associates model on the 3-inch base, SFX Models makes and sells replacement parts.

All times are CT (US)
