This prototype incubator was manufactured by Space Industries Inc., to be placed on the Mir Space Station, to determine if eggs would hatch in zero gravity. Unit is in fine condition, measurements are: - 29 inches length
- 18 inches wide
- 12 inches height
- Weighs roughly 40 lbs
This incubator was featured on a segment of Pawn Stars. If you go on YouTube and search Pawn Stars Mir Incubator, you’ll get a good history. $1200, shipping to be determined.

That is just a version of a C/RIM that flew on many shuttle, Spacelab and Spacehab missions. It is not designed to "hatch eggs." It is designed to provide controlled temperature profiles and time power inputs for biological experiments. Typical temperature settings were 4, 22, 37 and 40 degrees C.As the decal says it is a mockup/simulator, which means it was used for training. |
