Hello fellow collectSPACE'rs. I'm excited to be offering to you this cover that has been my project for over a year. It's concept has changed several times since I decided to do this and the offering of it to you delayed due to the pandemic. Now, I'm finally able to say that it is complete and ready for your consideration. The cover is 9 1/2" x 4 1/8", full color front and back, affixed with the 50th anniversary first moon landing stamp and postmarked at KSC for the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 13 (thanks goes out to Ken Havekotte for postmarking). This custom designed cover is limited to only 13 made and numbered as such on the back and on the certificate of authenticity. The best part is this cover contains two pieces of flown artifacts from the mission. Described in more detail below. The front depicts the three astronauts Jack Swigert, James Lovell and Fred Haise with the launching Saturn V and the lost moon. The back contains images of the launch and splashdown and lists the crew, launch and landing times. The artifacts are attached to a cardstock certificate that slides into the cover and shows the pieces through the front windows for display. The first artifact is a generous size estimated at 1/2" squared piece of Flown Kapton Foil from CSM-109 Odyssey (some of the pieces are triangular and may be 3/4 x 1/2,etc.). The foil is sourced from a Dick Williamson certified and hand-signed presentation piece that I am the owner of. The second artifact is a piece of Stowage Netting from LM-7 Aquarius. The netting was obtained from apollospace.com who acquired the piece from The Space Collective who in turn acquired the piece via William Looney, a former employee of Grumman. Again, this custom designed cover is limited to only 13 and comes with artifacts from both the Command Module and the Lunar Module in one presentation and postmarked for the 50th anniversary of the launch of this historic mission. The price is $275 each with free shipping in the US and $8 for international shipping. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Covers will ship in a rigid top loader and bubble padded envelope for safe shipping. Thanks for looking. |

UPDATE: Only 6 of these covers remain available for sale! To put into perspective, pieces of Dick Williamson obtained kapton that are half the size of the ones contained in the cover have sold for $300. You get double the kapton + a piece of LM netting contained in a cover postmarked for the 50th anniversary! Thanks to those that have purchased theirs, they are on the way. Thanks for looking and good health to all my fellow cS'rs. |

My Apollo 13 cover arrived today. I must say that "Moonnut" did a very nice job on this cover. He went out of his way in designing a very detailed cover and insert. Very professionally done. |
