There's a fantastic thread on these forums with pictures of the many limited employee issued artifacts/patches/mementos etc., and a number of these also contain flown materials from actual SpaceX launches.

To the extent anyone is interested in selling or at least entertain offers, I'm willing to pay a premium for a large number of the items SpaceX has issued to date.

Note I am not interested in buying any of the standalone employee numbered patches, EXCEPT for the specially framed presentations (Falcon Heavy and SES 10 I believe) which it seems SpaceX only does for its most iconic missions and milestones.

Additionally, any and all non-patch employee items are certainly on the "want list."

I suspect not many are willing to part with the grid fin display, also issued following the amazing SES-10 launch (and if they are, congrats if your name is Buffet, Jeff Bezos, (or MacKenzie)-formerly-Bezos, given that they may be the only humans with the funds to purchase it.

Last, I am willing to pay an additional premium to anyone selling two (or more) items. Specifically, I much prefer to buy 8 items from the same person, or buy 2-3 items from a single person, as opposed to continuing with this scavenger hunt of tracking down and buying items on a one by one basis, always from different sellers.

Again, I will pay a premium for these items.

And all I ask is that you email me the details and allow me to demonstrate that commitment firsthand with my offer(s).

Top list at the moment:

I'll pay through your choice of either PayPal or overnight a bank certified check with tracking, and with the understanding that you do not need to ship the item until you have the money/cash in full, in hand.

  1. Grid Fin - no elaboration necessary. Willing to offer as a start: $1.5k (edition 1) and $1k for the smaller edition 2. Willing to potentially go much higher if you have one of the larger V1s. My personal opinions of the value for these fins is entirely dependant upon the size/shape.

  2. FH Demo Display. Yes I know the eBay completed listings archive for this has been made useless by sellers who balk and back out post-sale. If you think $200 is the going rate as shown on the site, then count me in 100%! But in all seriousness the final prices on those I've recently seen end in an actual sale, the average is at least ~$850-$900 (one as low as $800, 7 sold for between $849 and $910, and four exceeded $1k. Willing to offer $1,250, open to negotiation. Again, I'll pay through your choice of either PayPal or overnight a bank certified check with tracking, with the understanding that you do not need to ship the item until you have the money/cash in full, in hand.

  3. SES-10 Demo. Check for yourself, when offered these sell for ~$550 on average. I will start at $710 (more if sold/combined with other items)

  4. COTS Demo 2 Coin with small flown Dragon fragment (tie); and the piece of flown parachute display (tie) - Offering $400 for each/either one.

  5. CRS-7 acrylic coin: Unsure of average. Will offer $620. This MUST include the poignant commemorative typed certificate with Musk's inspiring message written in the aftermath of this launch failure and with SpaceX teetering at the brink of bankruptcy.

The CRS-7 acrylic is not a coin, but a piece of the solar array from the mission.

Are you also interested in covers which were postmarked on board ISS on the docking and undockung day of a Dragon capsule?

Moreover, cosmonauts sent a few hand-written letters with Dragon capsules to Earth.

Ex-SpaceX employee here. I have all of the items on your wanted list, plus some employee-made swag for special occasions like FH Demo. Shoot me a reply if interested.

I am specialized in space-flown philatelic covers and letters. Are any of those among the SpaceX employee memorabilia?

I have a few duplicate covers done by Russian cosmonauts on board ISS for Dragon CRS missions.

All times are CT (US)
