This year marks not only the 30th anniversary of the launch of the base block of the MIR complex but also the 15th anniversary of the demise of the MIR space station. The initial launch took place on Feb. 20, 1986 and the de-orbit of MIR occurred on March 23, 2001.
This design showcases MIR in all its glory. The Soviet and Russian Federation Flags frame the patch and flags of guest cosmonauts and astronauts bridge MIR's history across the top. The patch is 5 inches wide and 3.5 inches high.
This design was created by Tim Gagnon of Titusville, FL and Jorge Cartes of Madrid, Spain.

This way if the patch is popular, then it will be less expensive. I'm trying to be sensitive to the feedback I have received. So let's see if this experiment works. If so it will be repeated...
