Farthest Reaches is very pleased to announce that we will be offering signed copies of "Falling To Earth" by Astronaut Al Worden with Francis French... but with a twist. In the past, Farthest Reaches has offered at no additional charge, a variety of value added surprises to select author signed titles that include but are not limited to "Apollo EECOM," "Into That Silent Sea," "In The Shadow Of The Moon" and "Space Cowboys". Given our long standing relationship with Al Worden and Francis French we will continue the above tradition with those hand signed copies of "Falling To Earth" that are purchased through Farthest Reaches. The exact nature of this "VALUE ADDED" extra will be announced in good time but suffice it to say, you will not be disappointed. With respect to the above, we are at this time accepting pre-orders for "Falling To Earth." Due to what we anticipate may be a substantial demand for these "VALUE ADDED" signed copies, a $10 deposit is required for each book ordered. This deposit which will be applied toward the $29.95 purchase price (plus shipping) is non refundable, BUT may be used for other FR merchandise should you choose to cancel your order. If questions or to pre-order so as to ensure you'll receive one of our special copies please email steve@farthestreaches.com or call using contact information on our website. We may also be reached via cell phone (310.892.5150). Remember we're on Pacific time so if leaving a message please be clear and indicate when you'd like your call returned. We are available 7 days per week for your convenience. This book is promising to be a great one so if interested in ordering your copy/copies, suggest you not delay. Please also note that signed copies of Al's first book, "Hello Earth" are available at $75 each plus shipping though Farthest Reaches. As usual we thank you for your unwavering support over the years and look forward to hearing from you soon... ------------------ Steve Hankow Farthest Reaches |

Thanks to everyone for the tremdous response thus far. I have taken quite a number of orders in the last 24 hours. I have been asked by a number of people exactly when the book will ship. Well, the answer is... sometime shortly after it's official release. I am also being asked about the "Value Added" aspect of copies sold through Farthest Reaches. Well, those details will be released in due time but suffice it to say, it will be unique and I'm confident no one will be disappointed, so stay tuned. |

Ordered one by direct email to Steve. Received a very quick acknowledgment. For collectors in UK and Europe Steve accepts payment by Paypal for the $10 deposit. Once again, Steve, thanks for an excellent service. |

It's true I've been kept quite busy keeping up with your calls and emails to place pre-orders for Al's upcoming book but it's a good sort of busy . I'm doing my best to respond promptly and to that end, wanted to remind you all that I am available 7 days per week, so don't hesitate to call or email anytime to reserve your copy. Thanks to all for your continued support. |

I can imagine the volume of requests you must be getting for such an eagerly anticipated book at the moment.Rather than having to answer the same email many times over, would it be possible for you to post the details on here for how us overseas people can send the deposit to you. I know people have mentioned you will accept payments via Paypal but I'm not sure which address to use to send payment to and what other details you might require. |

Paul and everyone on the other side of the pond: for all of my international clients I would be happy to accept either PayPal OR direct cc (Visa, MC or Discover). For my domestic clients, I'd much prefer a check or money order as I'm trying to avoid the cc/PayPal processing fees. If emailing with credit card info suggest it be broken into three parts for security (or call me directly) and if using PayPal, send to steve@farthestreaches.com. My office number is 310.791.4800 and cell is 310.892.5150. During the working day is best to contact me via the cell number. Either number however, will accept your voice mail. Email has always been the bane of my existence but I do check it constantly and think I'm been doing pretty well at responding promptly as orders have been coming in, so feel free to email anytime as needed. Email is steve@farthestreaches.com. Lastly, my mailing address is: Farthest Reaches 4733 Torrance Blvd. #963 Torrance, CA 90503 Most of the above is also found on my home page but perhaps posting it here will help simplify the process. Thanks again to you all. Your business is always most appreciated.... |

I've had several clients inquire as to whether they can pay in full rather than making a $10 deposit to hold their copy of "Falling To Earth". The answer is "most certainly."Secondly, want to be clear that all copies purchased through Farthest Reaches WILL be hand signed by both Al Worden AND Francis French. It appeared that there was some confusion over this. Any other questions or to pre-order your copy, don't hesitate to email or call. |

For those of you who have asked and for those of you who might be wondering, there is no specific limit to the number of copies available for preorder at this time. Now this may change at some point but if you're thinking of ordering multiple copies, now may be a good time. Remember, each book purchased from Farthest Reaches will be accompanied by something extra, something unique, something which has been determined but has yet to be announced. Ordering instructions can be found throughout this thread. Thanks to all... |

It's been suggested that I post to let you know that as of this moment there is not a pre-determined cut off or particular limit to the taking of pre-orders for "Falling to Earth". That's not to say that there won't be one as the numbers steadily increase, so suggest you order at your earliest convenience if you'd like a very special copy signed by BOTH Al and Francis, PLUS that extra I keep mentioning that is exclusive to those copies purchased through Farthest Reaches. Best of all, this book is being offered at it's suggested cover price of $29.95 plus s/h and not one penny more. You can't' beat that for value! Thank you all for taking the time to follow this thread and to those many who have chosen to order their copy /copies through Farthest Reaches. Your support is most appreciated. |

Thanks to all for the amazing response to my call for pre-orders for Al's upcoming book, "Falling To Earth". Though it only takes a $10 deposit to reserve your copy, I have been asked so many times if the full amount including shipping can be paid that I wanted to post the answer here for all to see. The answer is YES, of course. Shipping within the US is a flat $15 for 1-3 copies via priority mail and delivery confirmation. Shipping to international locations depends upon where and how many copies, so is calculated on a on a case by case basis. If questions or to place your order your "value added" copy/copies, please email offlist to steve@farthestreaches.com OR call 310.791.4800 (Pacific Time). I will take calls or email 7 days per week. Farthest Reaches never sleeps. My deep appreciation for your continued support... |

I am posting this to answer in one fell swoop, the most asked question about signed copies of Al's upcoming book. If purchased through Farthest Reaches both Al AND/OR Francis are willing to personalize your copy/copies. Please keep in mind however, simple personalizations only such as, "For John" or "Best Wishes to Suzie" or "Happy Birthday Steve". Anything more will not be possible with what looks like somewhere between 500 - 700 copies being signed that day. Also, for those of you who have not forwarded either your deposit or payment in full, unless received, I will not be able to keep your name on the reservation list. In an effort to not disappoint anyone when all is said and done, I'm hoping you will make the appropriate arrangements at this time to ensure you receive your signed copy along with the mysterious and yet unannounced, "extra". Thanks to everyone for what has thus far turned out to be a tremendous response to this offer. |

Thanks for the update. For me it raises the two questions of: - When do you want to know our preference as to who signs, Al and Francis, Al or Francis?
- When do you want to know our personalistaion requests, kept simple of course?
If you are collating this information against your order deposits ahead of time, please let me know and I will send you the info. |

Your request is no problem. I'll make a note of it and yes, the default will be a "flat signature" UNLESS Al decides he's willing to do otherwise such as add "Apollo 15". It will depend upon the numbers of books, the time available and most importantly, Al's preference. I'm receiving orders that have already exceeded my expectations. This book is receiving a very warm welcome, make that a smokin hot welcome. Al has much to say and think everyone will find it most interesting. Then there's that "Extra Something" these copies will include (says smiling)... |

For those of you who have not yet ordered but would like to, pre-orders are still being accepted for "Falling To Earth" hand signed by both Al Worden and Francis French. Of course, the 'value added' surprise I've been teasing you all with is also included. Incidentally, look for an announcement shortly that will end the guessing over what it might possibly be.If wanting ensure that you receive your copy, now is the time to submit your pre-order by emailing steve@farthestreaches.com OR by calling 310.791.4800. Thanks as always for your strong support of Farthest Reaches, as we begin our 11th year. |

For those of you who have not yet ordered, there's still time to ensure you receive a copy "Falling To Earth" hand signed by both Al Worden and Francis French. The extra item included with copies coming from Farthest Reaches has been announced. For those of you who don't already know, the mysterious item is the previously unseen, unpublished hand signed poem, "Rising from Earth". It was written years ago as Al was waiting for launch day and had some time to reflect upon what that event would feel like as the Saturn V left Pad 39 on it's way to the Moon. It is beautifully produced on heavy linen stock and was posted with thanks in it's unsigned form by Rob Pearlman when he "unveiled" the story on collectSPACE. The book and the signed poem make an awesome package that will not be available elsewhere, so stop by and place your order as the mid July release date is creeping up. For additional information about this book or "Rising from Earth" stop by Al Worden's site or Farthest Reaches where it's featured on our home page. Thanks to everyone for your continued support! |

We are closing in on the release date of Al's book and am needing at this time to collect balances from those of you who have sent a $10 deposit to reserve your copy.If you have not yet placed an order but would like to, it's not too late but will need full payment including shipping to reserve your copy. A copy of the included hand signed poem will be posted to my site in the next day or two for your review. Al was kind enough to add "Apollo 15" to each. I'm confident that you will be exceedingly pleased with this "value added" extra. If wishing to place an order or not sure what you balance is, please don't hesitate to email or call. My thanks to everyone for your wonderful support of Al's book and of Farthest Reaches! |
