Dee has additionally hand signed each copy "Dee O'Hara, Astronauts' Nurse." In addition, these copies have been signed using a Fisher Space Pen which belonged to Dee's favorite astronaut, Wally Schirra, that was generously loaned by his family for these signings. Francis has handwritten in each copy "Signed with Wally Schirra's Fisher Space Pen." I'm sure Francis and Colin will appreciate your positive feedback. I share your enthusiasm and am thrilled to be offering these signed copies of both "Shadow" and "Silent Sea". ...And don't forget that I have been known to bob up from time to time at some space events in the U.S. Advance notice will be given on collectSPACE as to when this might occur so you can tote along these books for me to countersign. |

As mentioned in another post for "Into That Silent Sea," I recently met up with Steve Hankow in Los Angeles prior to flying home to Sydney after the ASF show at KSC. He had several copies of "In the Shadow of the Moon" that had already been signed by Francis French using Wally Schirra's Fisher Space Pen (see Steve's earlier post above for more details). I countersigned these books using the same pen and they are now readily available from Steve at Farthest Reaches. So if you'd like a copy of this book signed by both authors, and some with a bonus Dee O'Hara or Wally Funk signature, just contact Steve and he'd be delighted to get one to you. |
