With the recent release of the Special Hobby 1/32 scale X-15 kit, I was asked to put together a photo reference CD on the X-15. The CD contains just over 400 med-res jpegs (1500 pixels wide) of all three X-15’s plus line art and details. The images are not a generic walk-around and there are no internet downloads, they are all scans from original negs or prints from various archives and personal collections. If anyone is interested, the CD runs $7 plus shipping. You can check out the CD cover here: http://www.edwardsflighttest.com/pics/CDCover.jpg Proof sheet sample pages are here: http://www.edwardsflighttest.com/pics/X-15Proof.jpg http://www.edwardsflighttest.com/pics/A2Proof.jpg and an actual sample image is here: http://www.edwardsflighttest.com/pics/sample.jpg If interested, just drop me a note at X15@edwardsflighttest.com |

I just ordered my cd from Tony. I think all space collectors should get one of the cd's. Tony has done all the work compiling the photos. The pictures are ones I have never seen before. We as a collector group should support all collectors who compile these works. i will critique the cd when I get it. When contacting Tony about the cd, tell him you saw his post on Collectspace. ------------------ John Macco Vice President Space Unit Shady Side, Md. I look forward to receive my copy of the CD also. Tony helped out Pat Hawkey who made the Special Hobby 1/48 X-15A-2 for me. It depicts the record breaking flight of Pete Knight. It is featured in July's issue of FineScale Modeler magazine. The photos that Tony sent to help out, were unbelievable. They were some I never seen before. So, I can't wait to see what's on the CD. Tanks Tony. AIM HIGH! Mike |

Same opinion here, after just 10 minutes looking at the photos I am very happy with my purchase, and I salute Tony for making these photos available to all of us. Jurg |

Tony...THANKS for the very fast service and great photo cd !! Many great pictures of the X-15 !! I especially liked the X15A-2 photos of the X-15 windshield as I own the starboard cockpit window that was used on the record setting Pete Knight flight. Great cd for all interested parties and highly recommended !! THANKS TONY !!...Donald Brady |
