Well, the time has come.

I have decided to make available for sale, my complete set of space shuttle Robbins medallions. Yes, everything is fine, I'm just not as excited about space collecting as I once was. My girls are growing fast, and I find myself wanting to spend and do more things with them. I don't expect to sell the set right away, as the asking price will be high. Still, here is what I have:

122 silver medallions, including ISS medallions (that's everything minted to date). All are unflown except for one, STS-6. All are in original plastic cases. A complete set is almost impossible to find. It took me almost 5 years to put this set together.

I am asking $42,000.00 for the entire set. That is $345.00 each x 122. I do not want to break up the set. That is what makes it so unique. Shipping and insurance would of course be extra, unless I were to meet the buyer in person.

So for now, it's available. You can see the set at: www.freewebs.com/robmed

Medallions include STS-1 thru STS-107, Expeditions 1-9. That's everything minted to date.

An investment in your family's future is arguably one of the best investments one can make. All the best to you in finding a new owner for this fine collection.

Thanks guys.

I realize most people are not going to have a spare 42G sitting around, so I've decided to break up the set, and sell individual medallions. With 122 available, hopefully anyone interested can find one they like.

Most will be priced at $345.00 each, plus $5.00 shipping (US), or $10.00 (Overseas). Insurance, if you want it, (US) will be $4.00 per medallion.

A handful of the more notable missions will cost more:

STS-1 $495.00
STS-6 $795.00 (flown)
STS-51L $1495.00
STS-26 $495.00
STS-95 $695.00

Paypal only to: pad34@bellsouth.net

First come, first serve. Please e-mail first (offlist) to see if what you want is available, and I'll hold it until payment is received. Payments must be made within 24 hours, or any medallions on hold will be released. I'll update which medallions have sold. All sales are considered final.

I will still keep my website up, and will update any current medallion information as it becomes available.

JB,
I'm sorry I never got to visit so I could see the completed collection. All those medallions in one place must surely be a sight to behold. Good luck!

Wow...it had to be tough collection to go of. That was one of the few collections that truly knocked my socks off...and usually coin/medallians don't do that much for me. But you are making a great investment in your family and you won't regret it. Besides, once you make it to the summit of any mountain, you have to come back down...

James, Sounds like the sale is well on the way. I was to slow to act on the STS-3 now gone. I think you made a good call and it sounds like you will be sold out in no time. Anyone that knows how I can find an STS-3 (Lousma/Fullerton) just shoot me an email at sixturners@cablespeed.com.

Good luck,

Rick

Now asking $800.00 plus shipping for my final 4 Robbins medallions, or $200.00 each. This is the lowest it'll get. E-mail offlist if interested.
