Is a car like that worth that much because an astronaut owned it...or is most of the value in the make/model/condition of the car? I would have to assume that the history of the car plays somewhat into it's value...but like vintage airplanes, the rarity and condition would seem to be a larger factor than who owned it in the past.Any car experts here who have an opinion on the value of this one? What would it be worth is Grissom never owned it? |

WOW ! RED has ALWAYS BEEN MY FAVORITE COLOR all my entire life ! THIS car belongs in my driveway and the keys belong in my hand. So feel free to start making those contributions to my PayPal account, thank you. So you don't have to email me, use [email protected] for my ID there. And, well, if I don't get enough, I will put it in my fund for my next cardiac pacemaker due in the next two years ! You DO have to thank the owner/lister for this car for all the cool magazine articles and pictures and other documents in the listing....you can read every word of those articles, so that is cool ! Just like Lenin's body, just think of all the money one could make putting this car on tour ! Cheers ! Gene Bella |

You'd rather not keep it under a self-breathing bubble? |

OK, I think if we all pitch in, say $5,000 each, we can swing this as a joint ownership. Can I have it this weekend?CDDFSPACE |

This auction ended with a high bid of $375,200. Not too shabby I guess seeing that the original sticker price was $5734.90. Reserve was not met, however. Maybe people didn't realize that it had such low mileage? Yeah, right. ------------------ b i l l |

Apparently, it didn't sell, as the 'vette has been relisted. This time around, it appears to have raised the attention of Corvette fans: CorvetteBlogger and AutoBlog |
