OK...I've got a bunch of "extra stuff" I want to find a good home for.... SO, the first one to post a reply to this thread gets my box of extra goodies... lots of patches, covers, a few astronaut models, pins, a vintage world map with John Glenn's flight printed on it... stuff like that - just a bunch of extra stuff that doesn't really fit in with my current focus on contractor models. Time to make a fellow space collector's day - maybe start a trend! I'll even foot the few bucks for postage - how's that for a deal! On you mark, get set, GO...! ------------------ Jake Schultz - curator, Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home) |

Sorry everyone (but Larry) I put my extra stuff all in one box and "put it out there" on the message board. I may do the same thing again at some point but that's all there is for right now....Jake :-) |

Rizz,I received the grab box from Jake. It was a nice and great idea of Jake's. I thought it would be great to share with everyone. I took some items from it that I wanted. I have added some of my extras to the box and will send it off to you this week. Take a look and if you want anything, then grab it. Add some of your extras to the box and send it to anyone else who responds to this thread. Share the spirit. Larry McGlynn |

I see I was beaten to the previous grab bag. But in the spirit that makes CollectSpace what it is, I'll start another. I'll send a grab bag of my extras by Priority Mail (sorry, USA only) to the first student (school or college)that replies to this post. The more young people we can interest in our hobby, the stronger it will become. Please reply to this forum; I'll contact the winner for your address info. |

Hey Matt-Looks like you're next in line. I received the Grab Bag last night from the East coast, (thanks Larry), and thanks to Jake as well (West coast). It's leaving Hawaii tonight. I scored a few cool things, and added some covers (A8), a bunch of patches and stickers, a copy of MOONLANDER (unread) and some Hawaiian goodies. Sorry, no Lapperts Ice Cream though. My son grabbed the toy space capsules, and restocked the grab bag with a couple of kids treasures. There is still a bunch of stuff from the first couple of stops. Thanks again guys. It'll be fun tracking this. Aloha from Hula Bowl Land... Rizz |

Hi Rizz,Thanks for the info. As far as I'm concerned the badge is still yours if you or your parents would like to retain it for your family. I don't see that anyone down the line would mind and I'll be happy to post it back to you. If not I'll be passing it on, as I'm not a shuttle collector per se (just the odd Manned Flight Awareness medallion). Now the copy of 'Moonlander' is another matter Cheers, Matt |

Matt-The launch ticket was already packed in the Grab bag. (Who'd of known). Hang on to it or pass it on if you like. I am happy to share it with fellow collectors (as long as I don't see it on eBay). Gag me. We have some other treasures from that launch. Thanks for the concern. Aloha Rizz |

Hi fellow Grab-Baggers!Had a thoroughly enjoyable rummage through the bag (well, box). Thanks to the previous donors I'm now the proud owner of a brand new unread copy of Tom Kelly's 'Moonlander', an Apollo 8 recovery cover, gold NASA worm patch, a NASA meatball sticker, an Ellison Onizuka space centre pencil, an ISS Space Flight Awareness medal (very groovy) and a Seattle Museum of Flight paperweight. Double thanks go to Frank Rizzo for his chocolate coated macadamias and Hawaiian coffee. Honeymoon memories... (for me and my wife that is, not me and Frank ). Anyway it's better to give than receive, so I've added the following - a signed copy of 'We Have Capture', a couple of Apollo 15 flown pencil mark cards, a little metal Lunokhod 1 badge, a couple of small shuttle tiles from Discovery, a scrap of plain beta, Apollo 10,12 and 15 match books, a John Young autopen, a Life magazine from March 14 1969 ("The daring contraption called LEM"), a Rocketdyne 16mm film about Mariner 9, a Columbia 8mm film 'Apollo 15 & the ride of the Rover', a Manned Spacecraft Center fact sheet from 1965 and a Charlie Brown postcard from the London Science museum. And there's still tons more goodies in there already, so don't worry if you're down the queue. Looking back up the list it looks like Steve Kaplan was next in line so Steve, mail me at matt@watcuts.com Keep it rolling, Matt |

Not to be nit picky, but let's try to organize this a little better. Will the person who has the box now please look at this thread and make a list of the order of people it needs to go to (emails, addresses, usernames - whatever). Put the list in the box. When you receive the box, simply look at the next name on the list and send it on (or contact that person to get their mailing address).
