Congratulations, Rob, on your ten-year mark and on the terrific anniversary-year logo. Thank you for creating and fostering such a vibrant online (and IRL) community over such an eventful decade, which has also featured a great migration to new knowledge communities online. cS is clearly one of the most distinguished of the early settlers in this promising new habitat. Congratulations again, and Happy New Year! Kris |

The first time I looked into collectSPACE it was a simple matter of curiosity about a relatively new space website. It then became a daily compulsion, while many new and enduring friendships were forged. In more recent years, collectSPACE has been of very considerable assistance to me in initiating a book project that became the Outward Odyssey series for the University of Nebraska Press. With very few exceptions, the authors who accepted the challenge of writing for this series emerged from within the eclectic realms of collectSPACE, and each has surpassed even my wildest hopes. In this way, collectSPACE has become so much more to me than just a nice place to visit; it has become an invaluable resource upon which I am heavily, perhaps even totally reliant. All this is due to the innovative brilliance and dynamism of Robert Pearlman, and I am deeply in his debt. May collectSPACE continue to grow and prosper. Colin |

I want to add my congratulations and thanks to Robert and everyone else involved in making collectSPACE THE PLACE for space collectors to go!I know that if it weren't for cS, my collection would not be anywhere near as good as it is. Nearly everything I know about the hobby is a result of this website. As I'm sure it is with all other collectors, this isn't the only space website I frequent, but cS is where I learned of the other websites (with the exception of Novaspace, which is the only one I knew of prior to cS). I also would have never been able to meet and/or interact with so many other collectors if not for cS. Here's hoping that cS and Robert keep going for another 10x10 years! Steve |

Robert-In reading all of the posts in this thread it dawned on me that my first fell way short in illustrating my appreciation for what you've done with cS. Like many other "cSer's" I turn here for information about so many topics overlooked elsewhere. If I have a question that needs to be answered, I come here. If I have news to share, I come here. If I have an art project that I want to show, I come here. You have not just created a website. You have created a community. That is a powerful thing and you should be very proud. I wish you many, many more years of success and continued growth. I can't wait to see what the 20th anniversary will bring. Godspeed friend, Tim |

Once again, let me echo a Happy 10th anniversary for CollectSpace! Congratulations on creating a great website devoted to our beloved hobby of collecting space memorabilia and aerospace history. I probably view the website several times every week (perhaps even once or more daily at certain times) and consider cS the #1 space collecting source on the planet. Well done, Robert, and I'll certainly be looking forward to another 10+ years as a proud member, supporter, and contributor. |

Congratulations Robert on your 10 year anniversary. I remember finding out about you on at a website called starport or something before collectspace. I remember that I liked that site a lot and was happy to have found it but when closing that site you said that collectspace would be even better. Well, you have certainly exceeded my expectations and continue to do every day. Thanks so much for helping us all to connect to so many space enthusiasts all over this planet!--Marcy P.S. I love the new logo.

Although I intend to contact each of you individually, I want to publicly express my gratitude to the group of 25 collectSPACE members who came together to present me tonight with a very special collectSPACE 10th anniversary gift. It caught me completely off-guard while finishing my dessert at tonight's Spacefest banquet, when my friend and author Andy Chaikin asked me to join him on the stage. It was there that he explained, before everyone at the banquet -- astronauts, speakers, and attendees -- that my members wanted to present something on behalf of our 10th year. Opening a small box, Andy revealed a Roger Chaffee autograph, one of the very few pre-shuttle era astronaut autographs that was not yet represented in my signed copy of Who's Who in Space. With the signature came a truly wonderful plaque and a card that listed the members who contributed towards the gift on behalf of everyone who reads collectSPACE. To say that I was deeply touched would be an understatement. The autograph is wonderful, the plaque amazing and the presentation before a room of some 400 people -- many of them collectSPACE members and readers -- is a memory I will cherish forever. So to Ray Holt, Florian Noller, Tim Gagnon, Stefan Kontradowitz, Mike Larson, Stephen Beck, Joel Katzowitz, Tahir Rahman, Bob McLeod, Woody Witt, Brian Riehle, Bill Sawchuck, Chris Nicolosi, Mike Behette, Dennis Falci, Scott Schneeweis, Garry Laing, Bob Runge, Rodrigo Duque, Rick Mulheirn, Lou Chinal, Doug Henry, Gary Milgrom, Steven Smith and Colin Burgess, I say, "Thank you!" for your support, your gift and most of all, your friendship. |

It has been ten years, Robert. How much longer do we have to wait? I for one would like to see a collectSPACE poster hanging at every venue. Full size or a mini poster. Last Saturday while visiting Destination Space at the Omniplex in Oklahoma City I envisioned one displayed on the wall. Not to mention classrooms, etc.Terry |
