You are invited to my home on Sunday, April 13 for an afternoon of space-themed fun. Watch a Space Shuttle launch in HD! View a Nick Proach 1/48 scale model of OV-103! Inspect an Apollo 17 check list that has been to the moon! See the difference between Shuttle and Buran thermal tiles!Food will be provided. Families welcome. I've sent invites to those I know in the area but if I've missed you please post your interest here. RSVP by April 9 for food planning. Event is in northeast Atlanta near I-85 and Indian Trail. The countdown has resumed for THE space event of Spring 2008! Forget your taxes and come over for an afternoon of fun and geek-themed camaraderie Sunday, April 13 at my place. Here’s the details:TIME: Noon until whenever. PLACE: NASA Long Distance Launch Viewing Facility 2506 Alpine Way, Duluth GA 30096 (770) 209-7087 NOTES:
- The museum is dedicating the Joel Katzowitz wing this weekend.
- This wing is currently under water.
- If you have any photos of Neil Armstrong or Joel on the moon please bring them.
- FREE door prize giveaway for best photo of a weed.
- My space artifacts are kept in an air and light-free environment.
- Bring your own oxygen, PLSS or MMU and/or a flashlight.
- If Discovery is parked in my driveway park next door (neighbors are used to this).

Man, I wish I could come down for that. I'll be playing a show in Marietta on the 10th, then I have to be in Huntsville for a wedding on the 12th. Oh well. |

Just wanted to thank Gary for having some of us over to his house today for a get together and lunch. It was good visiting with those that were able to make it. Perhaps we could do this again at my place in about 6 months or so.James |
