Tuesday night (July 24, 2007) was the annual NASA Night at Minute Maid Park. This year, the Houston Astros honored the crew of STS-120, who are scheduled to launch on Discovery in October. The mission, NASA's 23rd to the International Space Station, will deliver Node 2 "Harmony" and swap out ISS 16 flight engineer Clay Anderson for Dan Tani. ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/sts120_nasanight01.jpg) ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/sts120_nasanight02.jpg)
The STS-120 crew were invited to throw out ceremonial first pitches. The crew includes commander Pam Melroy, pilot George Zamka and mission specialists Scott Parazynski, Doug Wheelock, Stephanie Wilson and European Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli. Tani rounds out the crew compliment at seven. ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/sts120_nasanight04.jpg) ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/sts120_nasanight05.jpg)

NASA Night was sponsored by United Space Alliance. The first 10,000 fans to Minute Maid Park received USA caps with the Astros and STS-120 emblems. ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/sts120_nasanight07.jpg) Also throwing out a first pitch was USA's President and CEO (and former space shuttle astronaut) Mike McCulley. ![](http://www.collectspace.com/review/sts120_nasanight03.jpg) |
