Last month, some of you were very kind to nominate yours truly and collectSPACE as your favorite Houston-based blogger/blog for the Houston Chronicle's Ultimate Houston 2005 Reader Picks. Well, I am happy to report...We made the ballot!! The polls will be open through Aug. 9. Starting Sept. 6, the Chronicle will roll out a few Reader Picks a week in the paper and online. Let the voting begin. (At the top of the ballot you'll see a place to enter your name and contact information. This is only if you would like to possibly win a prize and/or have your comments included in the online edition of Ultimate Houston. In addition to voting for best blogger, the ballot also has a comment box. Tell the Chronicle why you voted the way you did... or not. If you do and your comment rises above the rest, they'll post it online with the winners.) Thanks everyone! P.S. There's been some online discussion on whether collectSPACE is a blog or not. Admittedly, we're not only a blog however, it was the Houston Chronicle itself that several years ago recognized our front page as a blog: "CollectSpace.com is a meeting ground for space memorabilia collectors, and it has a variety of faces. It's a weblog, a news site, a forum for collectors and an online marketplace." |
