I understand that their are 14 canidates for China's first man in space. It has now been announced that this first mission will be 14 orbits. Anybody, else think they might be trying to be twice as good as America's original 7?Noah IP: Logged |

I think its coincidental. There are really 12 candidates and two trainers (who are also being considered for space flight and from unconfirmed reports, are among the favorites for the first flight).Further (unconfirmed) reports this morning indicate that the class of 14 has been narrowed to three as to who may fly Shenzhou-5. Other than releasing the names of the two trainers and 12 test pilots training, China has not released any official information -- including photographs -- of the candidates. We do not yet know who or how many taikonauts will fly on Shenzhou-5 and an official autograph policy or address to write to has not yet been identified. IP: Logged |
