With the launch date set for the first launch of American astronauts from the U.S. since the retirement of the shuttle in 2011, I thought I would go back in time to the beginning of shuttle testing. While not covers, these two photographs were some of the first shuttle autographs I sent for back in the 1970's. The Shuttle Enterprise Approach and Landing Test (ALT) crews and the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) crews autographed these photos. These crews were very receptive to autograph requests by collectors. ------------------
