Space Cover of the Week, Week 411, April 2, 2017

Space Cover #411: Shuttle SRB static test

This week's cover commemorates the first static firing of the shuttle solid rocket booster, DM-1, on July 18, 1977 at Morton Thiokol in Brigham City, Utah. The cover was autographed by Thiokol SRB Manager, Joe Kilminster who was instrumental in the decision to launch Challenger on January 28, 1986. Morton Thiokol set up cover servicing for collectors who wanted covers for the tests.
