Space Cover #281: Apollo-Soyuz Test Project Anniversary
This week's SCOTW commemorates the Marshall Space Flight Center's (MSFC) role in the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (ASTP) program. MSFC was responsible for the Saturn IB launch vehicle hardware and software design as well as sustaining engineering to cover any problems that occur before or during the ASTP mission.

The top cover bears a rubber stamp cachet, designed, ordered by, and applied by Marshall Space Flight Center personnel. As such it is an MSFC Official Rubber Stamp Cachet. These first started with the unmanned Skylab 1 mission. I wrote and asked about the origin and received a reply by mail from the employee who suggested it and did the work.
