Space Cover of the Week, Week 199 (February 2, 2013)

Space Cover 199, Canadian Astronaut Stamps First Day Cover

On October 1, 2003 Canada issued eight stamps honoring the Canadian astronauts who flew on the space shuttle. The astronauts honored were Marc Garneau, Robert Bondar, Chris Hadfield, Steve McLean, Robert Thirsk, Dave Williams, Julie Payette and Bjarn Tryggvason.

The cover shown was autographed by Thirsk, Williams, Payette and Tryggvason. The other cover was sent to Marc Garneau to complete the signing and will be shown here when it returns.
