All cultures observe the Sun. NASA exploration of the Sun is a natural extension of age-old human dedication to observing and learning to live with the rhythms and mysteries of our very own star. Our ancestors learned to live in harmony with the Sun's seasonal cycle. The PUNCH mission helps us learn to live well with the 11-year sunspot cycle. PUNCH is designed to track solar storms that travel from the Sun's corona all the way out to Earth's orbit. Such storms start in sunspot regions.

Randall Member Posts: 1647 From: Chesham, Bucks UK Registered: Dec 2008	posted 03-01-2025 04:57 AM The details on the AB Emblem 2.5" wide x 3.5" high oval version of the PUNCH patch are as follows; 469631 1 A-B Emblem Made In China 11/2445 The label has an extra "1" or "I" at the end of the patch design number (as can be seen on the AB Emblem website sales page). The date code on this patch example ends with "45". I am lead to believe this is the code number for a Chinese made sample patch. Thanks to Paul B. for the information and image photo above.
