Axiom Space has released its mission patch for Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) to the International Space Station. The crew includes: - Peggy Whitson, Ax-4 commander, Axiom Space
- Shubhanshu Shukla, Ax-4 pilot, Indian Space Research Organisation
- Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, Ax-4 mission specialist, ESA/Poland
- Tibor Kapu, Ax-4 mission specialist, Hungarian to Orbit (HUNOR)
Axiom Space release Unveiling the Ax-4 Mission Patch: A Symbol of Unity and ExplorationThe Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) patch stands as a powerful emblem of unity among four nations — the United States, India, Poland, and Hungary — embarking on a shared journey into space. At its core, the patch embodies the ethos that space is for everyone. The central visual of Earth serves as a poignant reminder that our quest to explore is ultimately for the benefit of all humanity. A Design Rooted in Collaboration The design features four ascending lines, each representing one of the four countries on the mission, converging at the International Space Station (ISS). This imagery signifies the collaboration and unity among nations from the "four corners of the Earth" to achieve a common goal. The patch is divided into three sections, symbolizing the three continents that are building and rising together. These sections evoke the panes of the spacecraft, offering a visual of what astronauts see from space — a world without borders, united as one. Global Inclusivity and Personal Connection Seven stars are prominently displayed, each representing one of the seven continents, shining alight on global inclusivity. The unique geometric shape of the patch, conceived by the astronauts, adds a layer of authenticity and personal connection to the mission. The gem shape symbolizes the preciousness of humanity and our shared responsibility to protect and cherish our planet. Modern and Forward-Thinking The linear design of the patch gives it a modern, minimalist feel, reflecting the forward-thinking nature of space exploration. As we look to the stars, the Ax-4 mission patch serves as a beacon of hope and a testament to what we can achieve when we come together as one world, united in our pursuit of knowledge and discovery. |

Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla has this additional patch on his flight suit: As earlier announced, mission specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski will wear his ESA "Ignis" mission patch, as well as the ESA logo patch. Similarly, missions specialist Tibor Kapu's HUNOR patch was also previously revealed, though not yet seen in a photo of his flight suit: |

The Axiom Space Store has their patch for sale now. You need to look under Missions, not Patches. I just found it after checking patches day after day. |

Thanks for the update. I should be receiving mine soon. Just looked at their website again and there is no described specificity as to whether it's embroidered or PVC, yet when you zoom in on the advertised patch it is clearly an embroidered patch. |

I've had mine for a month. They're not PVC. They appear to be more of a woven construction, as opposed to embroidered. This method is used a lot in Canada. |

I ended up receiving mine today and I would agree, David. The patch seems to be of a woven construction. Though I would say the border is embroidered. It also has a backing pad that appears to peel away from an adhesive back, so as to allow the user to stick the patch onto whatever (clothing, etc.). | |
