A straightforward patch for Expedition 72 on the International Space Station.

The simple design may reflect that the full crew complement is not yet known, with either SpaceX's Crew-10 or Boeing's Starliner-1 crew joining Expedition 72.

I would replace 72 by 25 for the ISS 25-th Anniversary.

Hope for better design.

A reader suggested this could be a subtle tribute to the 25th anniversary, mimicking the simplicity and background color of the Expedition 1 patch.

NASA's description of the Expedition 72 insignia:
The official insignia of the Expedition 72 crew that will live and work aboard the International Space Station for a six-month space research mission beginning in late 2024. The simple patch design highlights the configuration of the orbital laboratory with its six roll-out solar arrays augmenting the station's power generation system.
