A beautiful design! I love the homage to Route 66. Blake (Dumesnil) did a wonderful job. One of his best and there are so many great ones. |

That is an excellent design. I hope the patch is embroidered, as opposed to printed, to do it justice. |

Unpopular opinion, but I would like to see this in in PVC, too, I think it would render better. I am impressed with the level of detail A-B Emblem did manage to embroider, though. It's a stunning design to be sure. |

Given the theme, I think it would also be neat if this emblem was produced in thin metal, like a street sign, but at patch size. If a miniature pole came with it (serving as a desk stand), that would be neat, too. |

I am up for any version of this design. I grew up not far from Rt. 66 and I love this design! |

Great idea! Though I am not a collector of PVC patches, I agree with Liem that this emblem is worthy of a detailed replica and PVC is way to do that. |

Received mine a couple of days ago and noticed it's missing the pale blue detailing of the Moon. I wonder if this is a one-off error. |

If you send AB Emblem your order details and a photo of the patch, they should send you a new replacement? Also as you are in the United Kingdom they probably won't ask you to return the faulty patch. |

Quality control seems to be all over the place. I have two from the same order (Skyforce) and all of the lines are noticeably thicker on the bottom one, details on the ISS are muddled and there are some mis-colored lines as well. |

I am not at all an expert, but it looks to me that the stitching programs are not fully identical for both patches. Do both patches have the same SKU and date code?Is it only a kind of shift between the various thread colours? |

Yeah, same label on the back. Based on my experience with my wife's sewing machines and serger, the 2nd patch looks like when the tightness one one of the thread feeds needs tightened or something. |

Got these photos from Kentavr. They put the same patch on Shkaplerov’s onboard suit.

NASA's description: The Expedition 66 patch celebrates the continued utilization of the International Space Station as a path for human and scientific space exploration. Its shape reflects the Route 66 highway sign, which once guided an earlier expansion into distant, remote lands. The arc of the Earth's atmosphere is reminiscent of the well-known stop-motion photos taken by astronauts and cosmonauts of the Earth in eclipse. Two future destinations are depicted, the Moon resting inside one of the numerals, and Mars to the right. A multicolored bridge containing the colors of each of this mission's international partner's flags (Russia, Germany, France, Japan, and the United States) draws the viewer from the perimeter of the patch into the numeral 66 just as the space station bridges the gap from low-Earth orbit to these distant exploration destinations. |

collectSPACE New space station 'Route 66' patch hides nod to Marvel 'The Eternals' artistYou can now "get your kicks" — and your Marvel comic book fix — with a new mission patch for the crew of the International Space Station. The Expedition 66 insignia, which represents the astronauts and cosmonauts now on board and soon to come to the space station, derives its inspiration from a classic American roadway and, in a more subtle nod, the artist behind the latest members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. |
