Does anyone know what the 3 stars in the upper right quadrant of the SpaceX patch stand for? Thank you! |

The Dragon spacecraft that will support the CRS-20 mission previously supported the CRS-10 mission in February 2017 and the CRS-16 mission in December 2018.Third mission of the capsule? |

Now this kind of application of classic embroidery and dye sublimation I can get behind. Tasteful and apropos. |

The first date codes so far to be reported and confirmed with a scan photo by Skyforce Space Patches is; - 421969 A-B Emblem 022030 (Puebla Mexico)
- 421969 A-B Emblem 032030 (Pueble Mexico)
- 421969 A-B Emblem 052030 (Pueble Mexico)
- 421969 A-B Emblem Made In China 09/20 40
The printing of the numerals on the embedded labels on the first and second production runs is very faint, except for the "A-B Emblem" over the "crown" emblem. The third is bright and clear.Patch production in China has been suspended from early January to April. Hence why this SpX-20 patch was produced in Pueble, Mexico. |

Unless the COVID-19 circumstances have put a moratorium on the release of these patches, I'm sure it's been clear to most ardent collectors that there was no wide release of SpaceX's CRS-20 patch via normal reseller channels (a few made the secondary market from those distributed at the launch). I've hit nothing but dead ends trying to ascertain their policy going forward. Please, any and all out there, share what you've heard/believe may be future policy? Is the CRS-20 patch simply delayed? Or will SpaceX maintain exclusivity on these and only release in infrequent "subsets" from their online store, consistent with recent practice? |

To my knowledge, there has been no statement, formal or otherwise, by SpaceX as to the status of their patch sales. That said, the previous distributors who were authorized to offer the patches for sale have said that they were not permitted to stock the CRS-20 patch and do not expect to be able to offer new patches going forward. It is not clear what brought about this change of approach, nor is it clear that SpaceX plans to offer the patches again through its own shop. Unless the company responds, it may just be a situation where we have to wait and see. |

As a follow up to future official launch patches via SpaceX, I was told when the Crew Dragon Demo 2 patch became available through the online store, that they were internally still assessing options on releases of future patches via the storefront — whether as singles or part of groups (consistent with earlier policy). No mention was made whether this would include back issues that were skipped over, a la CRS-20. I guess a tenuous lead is better than no lead at all! |
