Does anyone know why there is a wedge of cheese acting as a hyphen between the NG and the 11 in the NG patch? Thank you! |

NG-11 will be the first mission to demonstrate Antares' late-load capability, enabling Cygnus to fly live mice for the Rodent Research experiment on the space station. (Also check out the eye of the swan in the NASA NG-11 patch.) |

NG-11 patch description from the back of the decal - I note that it says nothing about the cheese. NG-11, represented by eleven gold stars emblazoned alongside the patch, is Northrop Grumman’s eleventh Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) mission to deliver critical provisions and science experiments to the astronauts at the International Space Station. The center of the patch prominently displays the name of the program with the Cygnus spacecraft attached to the robotic arm of the International Space Station. The shape of the patch represents the fairing of the Antares rocket, which will launch this mission from the Mid Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) at Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s Eastern Shore which is represented in the backdrop of the patch. This patch was designed by Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems employee, Kevin Peak. |

My NG-11 patches have no AB stickers on it. Still a cool patch. Love the cheese. |

AB Emblem does not make Northrop Grumman's patches. AB only makes the NASA versions of the CRS patches. (The "cheese" patch is the Northrop version.) |
