The full artwork has yet to be released, but here is the simplified embroidery version of the International Space Station's Expedition 61 crew patch. |

Personally, I think this design is gorgeous as-is. I don't get excited by new patch designs very often these days, but this is stunning. |

Really like this design. Something different and minimalist. Excellent. |

Here is the simplified insignia as worn by Expedition 61 crew member Soichi Noguchi at the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's Space Rendezvous in Houston on Friday (Nov. 2). He said the crew received their training shirts the week prior. |

And here is the full artwork, with a fascinating offset of background to the ring of names. Really loving this design and the color selections. |

Wow, that is one unique design! Do we know who the artist is?Prefer the larger ISS shown in the earlier views though, hope that is retained in the final embroidered version. |

Also prefer the shadowing around the LXI numeral. |

Agreed - I saw the minimal version on the polo shirts of Luca and crew in their press conference last week. Really nice design, both the reduced version and the full proper patch version. |

The SKU "patch design number" for this Expedition 61 patch has now been confirmed as 411407. The early date codes could be 05/19 55, 05/19 20 or 5/19/20 (those three are unconfirmed as yet), and 6/19/20 (which has now been confirmed by Joe at Skyforce Space Patches). There was a typo error, the date code should read 6/19 20. |

It is looking like (for the first time) that AB Emblem have made three separate production runs for this Expedition 61 during the month of June 2019. They have the following date codes;- 411407 A-B Emblem 04/19 20 (USA) [JSC S/T cards]
- 411407 A-B Emblem 06/19 20 (USA)
- 411407 A-B Emblem 6/19 20 (USA)
- 411407 A-B Emblem 6/19/20 (USA) NOT been found, probably a typo error when reported.
- 290700 A-B Emblem 6/19 20 (USA) "Double Label" error, see below.
- 411407 A-B Emblem 07/19 20 (USA) seen photo on 24-09-19
- 411407 A-B Emblem Made In China 07/19 40 (Reported by Joe F Skyforce on 02-11-19)
- 411407 A-B Emblem 10/19 20 (USA) seen photo on 02-11-19
- 411407 A-B Emblem Made In China 10/19 40 [on JSC cards] AB E on 04-04-20
- 411407 A-B Emblem Made In China 03/20 40
- 411407 A-B Emblem Made In USA 07/2020
- 411407 A-B Emblem Made In USA 0872020 ('7' instead of '/' error) (Jon B.)

That is one possibility Liem, but I think a large number of these patches have had to of been produced during the month of June in Weaverville, in between other patch runs like the military and scouts, as production has been cut right back on all patches from China. They have varied the same basic date code before when they have had two production runs within the same month. I have been told there are also May date codes, but I've not seen any photo's as yet. |

I have been sent a photo of two Expedition 61 patches each with two labels on them. The first embedded labels have 290700 A-B Emblem 6/19 20 on (which is the SKU patch design number for Expedition 60 patches). The second label has the correct SKU patch design number on the labels 411407 A-B Emblem 6/19 20 or also found with 06/19 20 on. The second labels are not under the plastic coating but stuck to it's surface. This is another example of "double labelling". The double labels were one on top of the other but showed both when first found, the bottom embedded labels could not be fully read. Then they were re-positioned to show both labels as in the photos. This has happened before on the original first version of the Expedition 53 263544 patches, with the second label having 279129 on. Three of those double labelling errors were found.
Update: After a closer look at the remaining patches from the same batch of Expedition 61 patches, three more examples have been found. These three were harder to spot because the top labels completely covered the bottom embedded labels. Update 9th April 2021. Some more Expedition 61 patches with date codes 07/19 20 and 10/19 20 have been found with Double Label errors on them, with a different SKU patch design number 27??06. In most cases these patches are hard to see as one label is almost directly on top of the bottom label. Also these patches have been plastic coated twice so the top label can't be lifted or relocated without cutting and damaging the patches. |
