NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) is the next step in the search for planets outside of our solar system. In a two-year survey of the solar neighborhood, TESS will monitor more than 200,000 stars for temporary drops in brightness caused by planetary transits. This first-ever spaceborne all-sky transit survey will identify planets ranging from Earth-sized to gas giants, around a wide range of stellar types and orbital distances. These oval patches were already available over a year ago as I got a batch to hand out during lectures. |

They gave them out at the Press Site also - with decals. SpaceX gave out theirs also. The gift shop was selling a different one. |

Also spotted, "Launch Team" TESS patch, quoted from the listing: Was attending a wedding at the Cocoa Beach Hilton on the 18th of April, the day of the launch. The SpaceX scientist and technicians had their post launch party at the hotel. I picked up a few patches from the party. |
