Boeing ops team reveals mission patch for Starliner orbital test flight

The preparations for the first flight of Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft took a minor, but symbolic step forward this week with the reveal of its first mission patch.

The NASA team contracted by Boeing to run Starliner's mission control at Johnson Space Center in Houston debuted their emblem on Tuesday (April 3).

I was wondering about the status and availability of this patch. Will there be an offering?

It is now looking like these Boeing Starliner JSC Mission Operations Team OFT-2 patches will be released by AB Emblem to a number of their selected agents and retail sales outlets, and their website, so will be available to buy by mid June 2021.

The SKU patch design number and date code are:
  • 425313 A-B Emblem Made In USA 0972020 ('7' instead of '/' Error)
  • 425313 A-B Emblem Made In USA 0621 20

Update Monday 14th June:
Boeing tells me they will be listing this Starliner Mission Operations Team OFT-2 patch on their website on the launch day, which is now scheduled for Friday 30th July 2021.

Spotted what may be the Starliner Crew Flight Test mission operation patch. The insignia, seen here in decal form, was from a photo of the flight director's console.

The same, or similar, design, was seen embroidered on polo shirts at the launch.

All times are CT (US)
