There is a new Russian EVA 43 patch on the cosmonauts' shoulders during their on-going spacewalk just now (Aug. 17, 2017).Details are not visible, but it is something like the ISS Expedition 52 logo shape on a round patch with two cosmonauts taken from Tsiolkovskiy drawings. Same cosmonauts like on the MS-04 logo, great planet Tsiolkovskiy style! I think it is still spacepatches.nl's footprints! Let's wait and see! |

Fedor's "Earth is our home" guideline! Planet Tsiolkovskiy... Great ideas used for the design. The patch was designed online I was told. Fedor was already on the ISS. First time in the history of space related patches? Some patches were brought to the ISS by Ryazanskiy. The patches we see on Orlans spacesuits are normally with Velcro - mama. On Orlans they have Velcro papa on the right shoulder. |

From spacepatches.nl on Facebook: Russian EVA 43 patch. For the first time in history a (space) patch was designed on Earth and in space!!! Spacepatches.nl designer Luc van den Abeelen worked with cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin, who was already on board the International Space Station at that time, on this design for the 43rd EVA by Russian cosmonauts from ISS. Patches were produced by Spacepatches.nl and fellow EVA 43 spacewalker Sergey Ryazanskiy who launched with Soyuz MS-05 to ISS brought the patches with him. The EVA was on August 17, 2017 and lasted 7 hours and 34 minutes. A view of the patch as worn during the spacewalk, via Sergey Ryazanskiy on Twitter. The photo was taken by Jack Fischer from inside the space station. |

Interesting information, guys! Yesterday my friend from Roscosmos spoke to Fedor and found out the patches EVA 43 we see on their spacesuits are on Velcro papa.New Orlan MKS has Velcro mama on the right shoulder now. And even the old version of Orlan Ryazanskiy used has also Velcro mama on the right shoulder because Fedor changed sleeves on it when preparing it for Sergei before he arrived on the ISS. And also Fedor told him there were three patches he put on his spacesuit - EVA 43, his personal and "Almaz" patch - First EVA of Leonov (two more "Almaz" patches were put by him on the wall of the airlock also in the open space because the hatch was open). |

There are some photos of Fyodor's Orlan MKS no. 4 during EVA-43 RS by Roscosmos and by Paolo Nespoli. |

Once more Luc!!!The patch is in the shape of a diamond because Leonov's sign call was Almaz. I remarked also Leonov at his EVA in 1965 on Zvezda's patch. The picture is not very good on the photos from Roscosmos. I have one in my collection. Zvezda produced some in 2015 for the anniversary of the first EVA. The picture is taken from Leonov's paintings. |

Finally, it was four new patches for collectors on Fedor's new Orlan MKS EVA space suit. Not bad! |
