Vector Space Systems, a micro satellite space launch company, achieved its first test launch of the P-19H engineering model for its Vector-R launch vehicle on May 3, 2017 in Mojave, California. Seven days before the launch, the company revealed the flight patch for the test: This is our first mission patch. Plan is 100+ launches per year and a patch each. Vector flew a small pack of embroidered patches on the test launch, which stayed under 50,000 feet (15,240 meters) for regulatory purposes. The company noted on Twitter: 'Flight patches' survived (flew the whole ride). Stay tuned guys... "flight patches" as flown are very limited (x15) but will have a run of new ones available as soon as webstore [is] up. |
