From Soyuz MS-04 crew member Jack Fischer on Twitter: One more set of unofficial patches for Fyodor and I — to honor Apollo-Soyuz legacy of coop. Thanks to Blake with Blake Dumesnil Designs for rocking this! |

I recognise Fedor! Usually he has his new personal patch for every flight and also his EVA patch on his Orlan. I don't know will he do an EVA this time...Potentially two more patches to find for our collections! |

The first, ASTP-inspired patch will be made into a full-sized patch but the second, more simplified patch design, will only be used on a smaller scale for shirts and hats. My understanding is that it won't be made as a separate, full-sized patch. |

collectSPACE Soyuz crew's official and unofficial mission patches draw from space historyThe two latest crewmates to arrive at the International Space Station are steeped in space history — at least symbolically. NASA astronaut Jack Fischer and Roscosmos cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchkhin took up residency on the orbiting outpost on Thursday (April 20), beginning a five-month stay. Now members of the station's Expedition 51 crew, they lifted off to the orbital complex as the crew of Russia's Soyuz MS-04 spacecraft. To represent their launch together, Fischer and Yurchikhin worked with artists to design two distinct mission patches, one official and one unofficial, but both drawing inspiration from the emblems of historic past spaceflights. |

Has anyone seen any source for obtaining these patches? |

I am the one who manufactured these patches for the crew. There are no plans to make them commercially available. But I will ask their permission in September when they return. |

Tim, you produced only this version? Or both? |

I made a prototype of the other but the crew only wanted the McCall inspired art produced. |

Fischer and Yurchikhin used the second design on some of their apparel (though they also used the first one, too) and as the reverse of a medallion. |

Tim, has there been any further interest in producing more of the original Soyuz inspired patch? |

No there hasn’t. But I’ll ask if the crew would approve. |
